Northgard Battlegrounds enters Early Access

Northgard Battlegrounds entered Steam Early Access today. Funday Games' Viking city-building auto-battler challenges players to build settlements, assemble warbands and seek blessings from the Norse gods before asynchronous fights against rival clans. Every building shapes the economy and military strategy. This is still an unfinished Early Access game, and its initial Steam reviews are Mixed, so check current player feedback before buying. 4 Penny Coffins arrives for Halloween

4 Penny Coffins also launched today. Other Ocean Interactive's Victorian horror mystery pits a group of investigators against a disguised killer. Up to eight players can interrogate suspects, examine clues and challenge alibis, while a solo mode offers another way to investigate. The developer has confirmed a launch discount, but check the live storefront before purchasing. Official Steam page ↗

Steam Scream V brings more indie horror

Steam Scream V runs from October 26 through November 2. Valve's Halloween event includes horror-focused discounts, demos and upcoming titles. Smaller games have a place alongside established favorites, making the event useful for players searching for unusual experiences. This is not a demo-only festival, and individual discounts vary.
